Plugixa Car Parking

Selling parking by phone and spreadsheet stops working the day two people want the last space. Plugixa Car Parking takes the booking on your own WordPress site instead: customers pick their dates, see which spaces are free and what each costs, and reserve one in four short steps.

Behind the form is a booking engine that counts capacity per space type, respects each location’s opening hours and closures, and prices every stay on the server by the minute, hour, day, week or month. You get a dashboard, a searchable list, a calendar, coupons and a ledger of payments and refunds.

The free edition is a complete system with no limits and no outside services. Pro adds numbered bays, pricing rules, deposits, extras, tax rates, customer groups, Stripe and PayPal, SMS and Telegram messages, reminders, PDF invoices and a Google Maps location map.

Features

Everything you need

A reservation in four short steps

The form your visitors book with. It shows what is free for their dates and what each space costs before they type a name.

  • Step-by-step wizard

Dates and location, choose a space, your details, review and confirm.

  • Shortcode and block

Place it with [plugixa_car_parking] or the Car Parking Booking Form block, for one location or all.

  • Live price summary

The stay, each line of the price and the total are shown beside the form and update as choices change.

  • Coupon field

Customers type a code and see the discount at once. Each form can offer the field or leave it out.

  • Add to calendar

After booking, a link adds the stay to the customer's Google Calendar.

Every car park you run, in one place

A location is a car park. Add as many as you have, each with its own address, hours and stock of spaces.

  • Unlimited locations

Each with a name, description, address, contact details, picture, currency and billing unit.

  • Opening hours

Open and close times for every weekday, or open around the clock.

  • Closures and special days

Close a location for a date range, or give a day different hours, with a note.

  • Space types

Standard, covered, accessible, EV charging or your own, each with an icon, a colour and a size.

  • Numbered bays Pro

Count a location by numbered space: every bay has a label and is booked on its own.

Charge the way your car park charges

Prices belong to a space type and are worked out on the server for the exact stay.

  • Five billing units

A price per minute, per hour, per day, per week and per month.

  • One-off fee

An optional amount charged once per booking, on top of the time.

  • Prices per location

Where one car park charges differently, give that location a price of its own.

  • Pricing rules Pro

Raise, lower or set the rate by date, weekday, arrival time, length of stay, location, space type or customer group.

  • Tax rates Pro

Percentage or fixed taxes, compound or not, for every location or only some.

Every reservation, findable in seconds

The list your team works from, and the page behind each booking.

  • Searchable list

Search by reference, customer or plate, sort any column and filter by status, location and more.

  • Booking page

Customer, vehicle, stay, a priced breakdown line by line, payments and the messages sent.

  • Bookings by staff

Take a booking by phone: the form prices it and checks availability like the public one.

  • Export CSV

Download the bookings you are looking at as a spreadsheet.

  • Trash and restore

A deleted booking goes to the trash and can be restored.

Know how full you are

Two views of the same bookings: one by day, one in numbers.

  • Calendar

Bookings on a month, week or day calendar, coloured by status.

  • Filter by location

Narrow the calendar to one location or one space type.

  • Occupancy summary

Customers book now and pay at the car park, with instructions you write.

  • Payments ledger

Record a payment against a booking and see what is paid and what is due.

Frequently asked questions

Getting Started

Open Car Parking in the WordPress admin menu. Activation creates one working car park with four space types and a booking form, so you can look around before changing anything. Edit that location or add your own under Locations.
WordPress 6.5 or later and PHP 8.2 or later.
Add the Car Parking Booking Form block, or paste the [plugixa_car_parking] shortcode. Both can name a saved form and a location, for example [plugixa_car_parking form="airport-long-stay"].
Anything sold as a space for a period: parking lots, garages, airport park and ride, valet, residential and EV-charging spaces. Each location has its own space types, capacity and opening hours.

Bookings and Pricing

On the server, from the space type’s price for the billing unit of the stay: per minute, hour, day, week or month, plus an optional one-off fee. A location can have a price of its own. A coupon is applied if the customer entered one.
No. Availability is counted per space type for the exact dates of the stay, and a booking is refused when no space is left. A booking that is still pending holds its space for a number of minutes you set.
Yes. Each location has opening hours per weekday, and closures and special days: a date range when it is closed, or a day with different hours.
Yes. On the page with the [plugixa_car_parking_account] shortcode a customer finds a booking with its reference and email and cancels it, up to a cut-off in hours that you set.

Payments

Card payments by Stripe and payments by PayPal are part of Pro. The free plugin supports pay on arrival, with instructions you write yourself.
Open the booking and choose Record payment. The payment is added to the ledger, and the booking shows what is paid and what is still due. A payment can be refunded in full or in part.
In Pro. A location can take a percentage of the total when a customer books online, with the rest due on arrival.

Privacy and Data

Not unless you ask it to. The free plugin makes no outbound request. In Pro, Stripe, PayPal, Twilio, Vonage, Telegram and Google Maps are contacted only after you enter your own credentials for them.
They are kept by default, so installing it again picks up where you left off. A setting under Advanced erases all data when the plugin is deleted, if that is what you want.
In the plugin’s own tables in your WordPress database.

Free and Pro

No. There is no limit on locations, spaces or bookings, and nothing in the free plugin is time-limited or switched off pending payment. Pro is a separate download that adds features.
Numbered bays booked one by one, pricing rules, deposits, bookable extras, tax rates, customer groups, Stripe and PayPal payments, SMS and Telegram notifications, booking reminders and a daily report, PDF invoices, rescheduling by the customer, a Google Maps location map and a dark theme for the admin.
€39 a year for one site, or €59 a year for unlimited sites.
