Plugixa Easy Social Share Buttons

Most share plugins make a page heavier and send your visitors’ browsers to a third party before anyone has clicked anything. Plugixa Easy Social Share Buttons loads about 3.5 KB on a page with buttons, with no jQuery, no cookies and nothing fetched from a social network. Each button is an ordinary link.

You build a row of buttons once, as a share set, and place it anywhere: under every article, floating beside the text, in a bar on phones, on the blog home, or by hand with a block or a shortcode. A live preview drawn by the same code your site uses sits beside every step.

Then it shows you what works. A dashboard on your own server counts the clicks on your buttons by day, network and post. Pro adds what publishers grow on: a Pinterest Save button on images, quote boxes, a popup and fly-in, short links, a “Save this post” email form, and the report of which placement earns the clicks.

Features

Everything you need

Every place your readers share

A curated list of 41 destinations, grouped by kind, with the ones that have shut down left out.

  • Social networks

Facebook, X, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Reddit, Tumblr, Flipboard, Mix and Snapchat.

  • Bluesky, Threads and Mastodon

The fediverse and the newer networks, with Lemmy. Mastodon asks each visitor for their own server once and remembers it.

  • AI assistants

ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Grok and Copilot, opened with the page's address ready to ask about.

  • Messaging

WhatsApp, Telegram, Messenger, Viber, LINE and SMS.

  • Copy link, Email, Print and Share

The everyday ones, plus the device's own share sheet on phones that have one.

Build a row once, use it everywhere

A share set is a row of buttons with its own networks, look and places. There is no limit on how many you make.

  • A five-step wizard

Networks, Style, Layout, Where it appears, then Name and save. Edit any step later.

  • Live preview

Beside every step, drawn by the same code the site uses, at desktop, tablet and phone width.

  • A "+" for the rest

End a row with a "+" that opens every other destination in a menu the browser provides, with no extra JavaScript.

  • Duplicate a set

Copy a set you like and change one thing, instead of building the next from nothing.

  • Safe to delete

Before a set is deleted, the dialog lists the posts that still place it by hand.

Buttons that look like your site

Styles are data, not themes: each is drawn with the real front-end stylesheet in the gallery.

  • 27 styles

Filled, outlined, light, neutral and text styles, from pills and circles to a hairline row.

  • Three layouts, six sizes

Icon and name, icon only or icon above name, with a separate size for phones.

  • One colour of your own

Use each network's colour, or one colour for the whole row in whichever style you chose.

  • Readable by default

Brand colours too light for a white label are drawn a shade darker, just enough to read. A switch restores the exact colours.

  • Six distinctive styles Pro

Classic, Classic round, Lollipop, Leaf, Retro and Joined.

Put the buttons where readers are

Choose places on a diagram of a page, separately for each post type.

  • In the content

Above the content, below it, or both.

  • Floating and sticky

A floating bar at the left or right edge, and sticky bars at the top or bottom of the screen.

  • A share bar for phones

Icons only, at the bottom of the screen, swipeable when the set is long.

  • Blog home, archives and WooCommerce

A row under each post in a list, and a place in the WooCommerce product summary.

  • Popup and fly-in Pro

Open a set after a delay, part-way down the page or when the reader moves to leave, at most once per period you choose.

Exactly where you want it

Automatic placement covers most pages. For the rest, place a set yourself or change one post.

  • Shortcode

[plugixa_share id="1"] draws a saved set anywhere shortcodes run.

  • Block and Elementor widget

Pick a saved set by name in the block editor or in Elementor.

  • PHP template tag

    plugixa_share() for theme templates.

  • Hide or trim on one post

A Share buttons panel in the post editor hides a post's automatic buttons or drops one spot.

  • A share set per post Pro

Draw one post with another share set, chosen in the same panel.

Counts that are real

Numbers come from the networks that still report them and from clicks on your own buttons. Nothing is invented.

  • Network counts

From Reddit, Tumblr, VK and Odnoklassniki, and from Facebook with an app token of your own.

  • Your own click counts

Where a network reports nothing, the button shows how often it was clicked on your site.

  • Count recovery

After a move to https, a new domain or new permalinks, each post's old address is asked about too.

  • Hide small numbers

Leave a count out until it reaches a minimum you choose.

  • Off means off

With counts switched off the plugin contacts no outside service at all.

See what earns the clicks

Recorded on your own server, with no outside analytics service and no record of who clicked.

  • Dashboard

Clicks per day, by network and by post, over 7 or 30 days, against the period before.

  • Google Analytics 4 events

Each share click handed to the GA4 or Tag Manager tag your site already loads, as a share event.

  • By placement Pro

Which spot earned each click: below the content, the floating bar, the phone bar and the rest.

  • 90 days and 12 months Pro

Longer ranges for the whole report.

  • Export CSV Pro

Download each table of the report as a spreadsheet.

For sites that live on images and words

The tools food, craft and lifestyle publishers use most.

  • Save button on images Pro

Pinterest's Save button appears on an image when a visitor points at it, on screens with a mouse.

  • A pin image per post Pro

Give a post its own tall pin image and description, used by every Pinterest button on the site.

  • Leave an image out Pro

Skip images under a width you set, or exclude one image with the nopin class.

  • Quote boxes Pro

A block and a shortcode that share just the quoted words with a link to the post.

  • Quotes go beyond X Pro

Each quote can be shared to X, Bluesky, Threads and Mastodon.

Turn shares into visits and subscribers

Know where shared links came from, and keep the readers who want to come back.

  • UTM tags Pro

Tag every shared link with the network and the placement it came from.

  • Short links Pro

Share a short link made by Bitly, Rebrandly or your own YOURLS, created in the background.

  • Save this post Pro

A form that emails the reader the post they are on, placed as a block, a shortcode or under every post.

  • Email list sign-up Pro

Readers can join your Mailchimp, Brevo, MailerLite or Kit list with a box that starts unticked.

  • No addresses kept Pro

The reader's address is used to send the email and to add them to your list, and is not stored on your site.

Light, private and well behaved

Built to be left alone once it is set up.

  • Link previews

Open Graph and X card tags, which step aside when Yoast SEO, Rank Math, SEOPress and other SEO plugins already print them.

  • Follow buttons

Links to your own profiles on 25 services, placed by block, shortcode or template tag.

  • Import

Bring your buttons from Sassy Social Share or AddToAny, previewed first.

  • No cookies

The plugin sets no cookie for visitors. The popup remembers itself in the browser's own storage.

  • Translation ready

Every string can be translated, in the free build and in Pro.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Getting Started

Open Plugixa Social Share in the WordPress admin menu. The plugin starts with one share set, shown below the content of posts, so buttons appear straight away.
WordPress 6.5 or later and PHP 8.2 or later.
A row of share buttons with its own networks, style, layout and places. You can have as many as you like: one under articles, one on pages, one you place by hand for a campaign.
Yes. The Import screen reads the settings of Sassy Social Share or AddToAny and shows the share sets they would become before anything is saved. Nothing in the other plugin is changed.

Speed and Privacy

About 3.5 KB of stylesheet and script, gzipped, on a page with buttons, and nothing on a page without them. Floating bars, the “+” menu and Google Analytics events each add a small part only where they are used.
No. Each button is an ordinary link to the network, followed only when a visitor clicks it. No script, pixel or font is loaded from anyone else.
No. The Pro popup and fly-in remember that a visitor has seen them in the browser’s own storage, not in a cookie.
Only for share counts, and only while counts are switched on in a share set. Then your server asks the networks that report counts about each post’s public address. Switch counts off and nothing is contacted. The Pro short link and email features contact the service you choose for them.

Buttons and Counts

Most networks stopped publishing share counts years ago. Counts are available from Reddit, Tumblr, VK and Odnoklassniki, and from Facebook if you enter an app token of your own. For the rest, the button can show how many times it was clicked on your site.
Yes. Tell the plugin what changed under Settings, Counts, and each post’s old address is asked about too. A network that has already merged the two is counted once.
Yes. The Share buttons panel in the post editor hides a post’s automatic buttons, or just one of their spots. Buttons you placed in the content by hand still show.
Yes. Switch on the “+” for a share set and the row ends with a button that opens every other destination in a menu.

Free and Pro

No. Nothing in the free download is switched off or time-limited, and there is no cap on share sets. Pro is a separate download that adds features.
A Pinterest Save button on images with a pin image and description per post, quote boxes, a popup and a fly-in, short links, UTM tags, a “Save this post” email form, a share set per post, six more button styles, and the placement report with 90-day and 12-month ranges and CSV export.
Your share sets, settings and click history stay. Pro features stop appearing, and a set that used a Pro style is drawn in the default style.
