Meet Plugixa Chauffeur, version 1.0.0: a booking system for chauffeur, limousine, airport transfer and taxi businesses. Customers book through a step-by-step wizard on your site, and you run the fleet, the prices and the bookings from one admin screen.

What it does

The wizard has four steps: the trip, the vehicle, the customer’s details, and a review with the payment method. The fare is shown before the customer identifies themselves, and it is calculated again on the server when the booking is placed, so a price cannot be changed in the browser.

A booking plugin handles money and customer details, so the parts that matter are the ones a customer never sees:

  • Prices are decided on the server. Each vehicle has a base price, a rate per distance, a rate per hour and a minimum fare. The quote and the booking run through the same calculation.
  • Pickup times are checked on the server too. A minimum lead time, a booking horizon, business hours per weekday and blackout dates are applied in your site’s timezone.
  • A Stripe payment is confirmed by Stripe’s signed webhook, not by the customer returning to your site, so a booking is marked paid only when Stripe says it is.

Free and Pro

Everything above is in the free edition. Pro adds the tools for a growing fleet: drivers you can assign to bookings, pricing rules that raise or lower fares by day, date, distance, passengers or service, flat-rate routes with a fixed price, reports for any period with CSV export, and printable invoices. Pro costs €39 a year for one site or €59 a year for unlimited sites.
