Privacy and Data - Plugixa Permalink Manager

Where your data lives

Everything is in your own WordPress database, in four tables of the plugin’s own:

Table Holds
Addresses One row per item with a custom address
Redirects Old addresses, and manual and external redirects
History Every address change: what, when, who and why
Jobs Bulk tool and import runs, and what each one touched

Settings and patterns are stored as WordPress options. Nothing is written into your posts, and no rewrite rules are added to WordPress, so activating and deactivating never needs a “save permalinks” step.

History records the WordPress user who made each change. How long it is kept is a setting; see Advanced settings.

What visitors’ browsers load

Nothing. The plugin adds no scripts, styles, cookies or tracking to the front of your site. The admin screens load their fonts and icons from your own site, not from a CDN or Google Fonts.

What leaves your site

By default, nothing. There are two exceptions, both under your control.

The optional opt-in

The plugin uses the Freemius service for updates of the Pro version and for an optional opt-in. On first activation the free plugin asks whether you want email notices about security and feature updates.

  • Skip sends no identifiable data. The plugin works identically.
  • Allow & Continue shares your WordPress user’s first and last name and email address, your site’s address, title, language, WordPress and PHP versions, the plugin’s version and whether it is active or uninstalled, and the names and versions of your plugins and themes. The plugin and theme list can be switched off on the opt-in screen.

You can opt out later from the plugin’s row on the Plugins screen. Freemius’s terms and privacy policy apply to what it receives.

Pro contacts Freemius to check its licence and to fetch updates.

The Debug request

When you tick Also request it, to see what a visitor gets on the Debug screen, your server requests that address from your own site once. Addresses on any other host are refused before a request is made.

Removing the data

You do Files Data
Deactivate Kept Kept. Addresses fall back to WordPress’s until you reactivate
Delete the plugin, erase setting off (default) Removed Kept, and picked up if you install again
Delete the plugin, erase setting on Removed Tables, settings and permissions removed

The erase setting is Delete all permalink data when the plugin is deleted in Advanced settings. If another copy of the plugin is still installed, such as the free one beside Pro, the data is kept regardless, because that copy uses it.

Multisite

On a network each site has its own tables, addresses and settings. The erase choice is made per site, and when a site is deleted from the network its tables go with it.

Backups

Because everything is in the database, a normal database backup includes every address and redirect. After restoring one, run the Health check.
