Shortcode - Plugixa Image Map
[plugixa_image_map id="12"]
Attributes
| Attribute | Required | What it does |
|---|---|---|
id |
Yes | The map’s number. |
class |
No | One or more CSS class names added to the map, for your own styling. |
[plugixa_image_map id="12" class="alignwide"]
In a block theme, alignwide and alignfull make the map wider than the text
column, the same as they do for an image.
Where to find it
- All maps: the Shortcode column. Click to copy.
- The editor: at the bottom of Map settings.
Where it works
Anywhere WordPress runs shortcodes: posts, pages, custom post types, the Shortcode block, text widgets, and page builders’ shortcode elements.
Several maps can sit on one page, and the same map can appear more than once.
What it prints
| Situation | Result |
|---|---|
| A published map | The map. |
| A draft | Nothing. |
| A map in the trash, or a number that does not exist | Nothing. |
| A map whose picture was deleted from the media library | Nothing. |
Nothing means nothing: no error message for your visitors and no empty box.
Page builders
The stylesheet and script are loaded only on pages that contain a map. A few page builders print their content in a way WordPress cannot see in advance, and the map then appears without its styles. If that happens, set Settings > Load the map script to Every page. See Settings.
In a theme template
echo do_shortcode( '[plugixa_image_map id="12"]' );
