Page size
Pick a multiple of your column count. Twelve in a three-column grid gives four clean rows; ten gives three rows and an orphan.
Style
Numbered pages, previous and next, or load more. Numbers suit a directory somebody returns to; load more suits a page being browsed once.
Where it does not apply
The carousel and the filter layout page themselves: the carousel slides and the filter re-flows, so a pager underneath would be a second, competing control.
