Exams - Plugixa Exam
Exams -> Exams lists every exam with its access mode, time limit, attempt cap and whether it is published.
The editor
Add exam opens a tabbed editor. Each tab answers one question.

Most of these have sensible defaults. The two worth setting deliberately on every exam are Access and Results, because those are the two people notice when they are wrong.
Publishing
An exam is published or not. Unpublished exams are invisible in the catalogue and cannot be started, which makes drafting safe.
The URL slug is what appears at /exams/<slug>/. Change it before people have
the link, not after.
Duplicating
Copy an exam when you want the same rules with a different paper: a resit, a practice version, or next year’s. The copy takes the settings and the section structure; a pool section will draw from the bank as it stands when somebody sits it.
Deleting
Deleting an exam does not delete the attempts people already made at it, and it does not touch the questions. It removes the exam from the catalogue.
If the point is to stop new sittings while keeping the exam, unpublish it or close its window instead. That is reversible.
Troubleshooting

| Candidates see it but cannot start | The access mode is stricter than you meant, or they have used their attempts. |
| The paper is shorter than expected | A pool section matched fewer questions than it asks for. |
| Nobody can see their score | The release policy is withholding it, or an essay is still unmarked. |
| Editing an exam changed nothing for somebody mid-paper | Correct. The paper is frozen at the start of each attempt. |
