Leaderboards - Plugixa Exam
A leaderboard ranks results for one exam, publicly.
Opt-in, per learner
Nobody appears unless they choose to. This is not a setting to reconsider: a leaderboard is a published list of how people scored on an assessment, and publishing that by default would expose somebody’s academic performance to anybody who found the page.
Opt-in also makes the board honest about what it is. A ranking of volunteers is a game; a ranking of everybody is a shaming mechanism.

There is also an Exam leaderboard block with the same three settings.
Where it fits
Leaderboards suit practice papers, public quizzes and anything voluntary. They suit a professional certification much less: the people who most need to retake something are the people a public ranking discourages.
For measuring rather than motivating, use Analytics, which tells you about the questions rather than about the people.
Troubleshooting
| Symptom | Usual cause |
|---|---|
| The board is empty | Nobody has opted in, or no results are released yet. |
| A high scorer is missing | They have not opted in. That is the design. |
| The block is missing from the inserter | It is a Pro block, or the Leaderboard capability is off. |
| Withheld results are absent | Correct. An unreleased score cannot be ranked without disclosing it. |
